Survey suggests that average price drops outweigh the strong Euro

Specialist ski travel agency Ski Solutions is reporting that despite media reports that skiers need to cut back to find affordable skiing this winter due to the credit crunch and strong Euro, average costs have in fact dropped, more than compensating for the effect of the weakening pound against the Euro. “Contrary to current media hype, if you shop smartly and take advice from those in the know, your ski holiday needn’t cost the earth, and may even work out cheaper than last year.” said a Ski Solutions spokesman. read more...

The Andros Trophy in Val Thorens to go green next year

This weekend saw the Andros Trophy ice racing come to Val Thorens, entertaining spectators with two days of quality motor and bike racing.
